Cake on December 13?
Yes
I haven’t been to a show since April. APRIL.
I like the three Cake songs I’ve heard and I’m kind of curious.
Spend more time with the cousins.
OUT OF THE HOUSE, OUT OF JERSEY, AND IN NEW YORK.
No
I have only heard 3 Cake songs and don’t know what they are like live.
It’s cold.
It’s around $40. Add in the commute and food (I always want food after a show.), and it could be around $70 to $90. Maybe I should just save for someone I really want to see live.

Lucky Black Friday
I was featured in a treasury that made it to the front page of Etsy! I sold two of my calendars and was contacted about wholesale orders!
This morning I ordered some yarn for some fingerless mitts that I plan to knit. I did not get the 100% discount (damn!). I only got 15%, but it looks like nice yarn.
I also saw No Country For Old Men. It got great reviews, but I couldn’t get into it. Actually, the moment it ended, everyone in the theater was quiet… Then the four of us started laughing.

I’ve finally done it.
I just threw up from eating too much… and just to gross some of you out, here is a picture of some leftovers.

The hummus plan didn’t work out. I forgot to buy garbanzos and I didn’t feel like going to the grocery store on Thanksgiving. Party was the same as usual. The cousins sit in the living room and talk about whatever while the adults sit everywhere else and are loud. Someone even sat at the piano and played “My Way” towards the end of the night.

The Serious Things
I don’t like writing about the ’serious’ things. Whenever I do, it doesn’t sound like ‘me’ — also, sometimes, I start crying while I’m typing and then I feel like I am writing some essay to be on Extreme Home Makeover.
So here is my 48208302480284024th attempt to write about something that makes me cry in a way that makes it seem like it’s no big thing.
Now that my dad is unemployed, he has been talking about moving back to the Philippines to throw feed at chickens and grow stuff. Not so great for that whole ‘fear of real or imagined abandonment’ thing, but I kind of want him to go so he’ll stop being so emo. If and when he leaves, it’ll be weird to have a parent who doesn’t live in the same country and who I won’t get to see every week… month… or year. He actually suggested that I live in the Philippines for a while. “Go back to school there!” Yeeeahhhh, living in the US can get shitty at times, but I like it here. Plus, I do NOT want to move to a place that celebrates the world’s longest Christmas season.
Oh yeah, here’s a new version of an old layout that I love waaayyyy too much.

NaBloPoMo, Day 20: part 2
I gave in about 30 minutes after I wrote that last entry. 400 of my 800 images disappeared (the 400 that I actually wanted in my photostream) and I decided that I could live without food for a few days. And damn you flickr and moo for including 10 free moo cards when you upgrade.

NaBloPoMo, Day 20
My FlickrPro account is expiring today (edit: it expired already) and I think I am going to let it. I don’t really want to. I like having my pictures organized and I like having more than 3 sets, but I haven’t been taking many pictures. I also like having money in my bank account for things like food and my car registration renewal.
The only thing I will hate about all this is if I have to reorganize my photos if I upgrade sometime after it expires. However, if that 10 free Moo cards promotion is still around when I decide to upgrade again, it’ll make up for it… a little.

The Purple One
I found this recipe for Purple Ube Pancakes. The entry is hilarious, so I had to post it. To tell you the truth, I’m not a big fan of ube (purple yam). I’ll only eat it if it’s in halo-halo and that’s only because I’m too lazy to remove it from the desert. It doesn’t taste bad, but it doesn’t taste that good to me either… so I don’t bother eating it.
Whenever a member of my family goes to the Philippines, we come back with things and food from the “motherland”. If I have the chance to ask, I always ask for all types of Filipino treats. They always bring back ube. sigh.
There is this one treat that someone brought back once. I don’t even know what it’s called or what it’s made of, but I remember liking it a lot. I keep asking about it, but no one seems to know what the hell I’m talking about. Maybe some lurker from the Philippines is reading this and knows exactly what i’m talking about. It was sweet and had a kind of white color. It had texture to it, but it was not espasol –
edit: AAAAAAAAA! NEVERMIND. I JUST GOOGLED ALL THE CHARACTERISTICS AND FOUND IT. AHAHAHHAHAAHAHAAA! AND IT’S SO FREAKING SIMPLE THAT I CAN MAKE IT MYSELF. AWESOME.
