On some days, your boots are just more facinating than the Pantheon.

Speaking of the Pantheon, I was looking at the slide of the dome of the Pantheon and I thought to myself, “How awesome would it be to put a giant lazy susan in the middle of the dome, lay on it and spin yourself around and around?” I wonder if they’d arrest you for that.

Sorry about the bad image. I took the picture with a Polaroid. The drawing is too big for my scanner (it’s about the size of a poster) and I keep forgetting to bring my digital camera to school.

I have this habit of comparing my drawings to others in the class. If I think mine is awful compared to a classmate’s, I’ll imitate them or really try to make mine in the same league. This is how I started drawing people. I’m sure that if Roommate didn’t show me her drawing of Steven Tyler, I would’ve never tried to draw the same picture. I was so jealous that she could draw my favorite singer, that I just HAD to try it. I spent about two hours, seated in the same position, drawing him. I laugh everytime I see that drawing because it’s AWFUL, but I was so proud of it when I completed it.

I hate November. I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this before.

Three years ago today ( on the third month of my third year of high school ), my mom spent the night at the hospital because she was going to have brain surgery the next day. I really don’t know exactly what happened to her. [Keywords: gym, headache, blood pressure, aneurysm] Anyway, less than a week after she went into the hospital (and after she started to seem better), something bad happened again [keywords: unresponsive, lots of vomit] and she was “brain dead”. She was the third of three family members to die in three consecutive months. ( I also hate the number three. )
I didn’t go to school for a month after that.

So that is my pathetic sob story.
[ and I am totally going to hell for crying and using the "sob story" to get out of detention on the last day of high school. ]

I’ll be able to register for spring classes soon. I think I am going to take Graphic Design I, Black & White Photography, Art History II, and Poisonous and Venomous Animals (???*). I am going to put off Drawing II until next year. My current professor for Drawing I is teaching DrawingII next semester. While I don’t mind him, my Roommate tells me that her professor for Drawing II is much better than my professor. I will wait.
* I have to take a General Natural Science / Math class as a requirement. I would’ve taken History of Rock N Roll ( !!!!!!! ), but it’s a General Arts and Humanities class and a Writing 2 class. Once/If I finish my Chinese Culture class, I’ll have those requirements out of the way.
